Akebi Clips and Glasses for Migraine, 6 pcs

Migraine glasses are essential for those who suffer from light sensitivity. The Akebi filters are specifically designed to combat this hypersensitivity to light, which can trigger migraines. These glasses eliminate harmful UV rays and significantly reduce light transmission around 484nm. This specific wavelength is known to be a common trigger for ophthalmic migraines, and mitigating its effects can provide substantial relief to migraine sufferers.

The science behind these glasses is rooted in the understanding of melanopsin, a photopigment present in the ganglion cells of the retina. Melanopsin plays a crucial role in light perception and is particularly sensitive to blue light, which is a significant contributor to migraine onset. The Akebi glasses effectively filter the troublesome wavelengths that can lead to discomfort and enhance the overall quality of life for wearers.

These glasses are designed to be versatile; they can function as standard non-refractive sunglasses and come in various sun protection categories—ranging from category 1 for indoor use or cloudy weather, to categories 3-4 for outdoor use in sunny conditions. It's crucial to note that category 4 lenses are not suitable for driving, so consumers should choose wisely based on their daily activities.

For individuals who need vision correction, the Akebi glasses can be paired with clip-ons that fit over prescription lenses, making them suitable for nearly all types of eyewear. Whether you have lenses that require therapeutic filters or standard prescription lenses, these glasses are compatible and provide relief without compromising vision.

Originating from France, the Akebi glasses come with a CE certification, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental protection standards.

In summary, if you are looking for effective migraine glasses that filter out problematic light wavelengths while providing compatibility with prescription lenses, the Akebi Clips and Glasses for Migraine are a perfect choice.
